VIPs in Bahrain today

Well one of the nice things about Bahrain is sometimes great artists come to visit.  Tonight we had a free concert from Darius Rucker, the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.  He was very personable and thanked all the troops for their service.

He sang his recent current songs, which are excellent and well received by the crowd.  I always enjoy when they mix in songs by other artists, and these songs included "The Joker" by Steve Miller Band, "Family Tradition" by Hank Williams Jr. and "Let Her Cry" by Hootie and the Blowfish.  I took a couple videos, but those don't seem to work on the blog.

Earlier in the day, Eric Hipple, former quarterback for Detroit, spoke about preventing Sexual Assault and Suicide.  He was very interesting and I enjoyed his perspective.  One point he made was the brain is a complex machine that is always trying to solve problems.  Either the problem needs to be solved or we need to accept that there may not be a solution.

I hope everyone is doing well, and I look forward to getting home to see everyone!  All my best wishes from seven time zones away (was eight until the US skipped ahead).

Which one is Hootie? I'm guessing he's the one in the middle that looks like he's wearing a motorcycle/dirt bike helmet. You were so close. Don't you have any clearer pictures?

Updated pictures. Is that better?
